Have you heard of the critical changes to the Australia Business Innovation and Investment program (BIIP)?

The 132A Significant Business History visa stream will be abolished, removing the direct Permanent Residency (PR) pathway to Australia. While the 188a Business Innovation visa has increased in business assets and annual turnover requirements by at least 45%! All in effect by July 2021.

What should you do? Make a decision no later than 28 February 2021 and start your application process before the regulations become more stringent.

For business pathway, you must be a business owner with:

• Current Turnover – AUD 500,000 minimum per year
• Current Assets – AUD 800,000 minimum

If you are not a business owner, you need to own minimum assets worth AUD 2.25mil.
